From Andy @ Clifton Coffee: Simply put, this is one of the very best Ethiopian coffees we’ve ever tasted, if not the best.
Biftu Gudina is a relatively new cooperative started in 2012 as part of sustainable Technoserve project. (Technoserve is an NGO supporting the farmers in setting up washing stations and new cooperative structures with a focus on transparency & increased quality production).

With a strong leadership at the cooperative and a real dedication to quality production, Biftu is continuing to deliver some of the most interesting, unique & delicious coffees in all of Ethiopia.

In the cup, you get an enormous hit of peach fromage frais, incredible sweetness with a complex yet balanced structure of acidity and body. Theres vanilla & lilac (think lavender wild honey) and a rosewater finish that just lingers on. Simply delicious! This is definitely not a typical Jasmine & Bergamot Ethiopian.
