Location & processing
This coffee consists of heirloom varietals grown at 1850-2000 metres above sea level in the Gutiti district in the Gediyo zone by a cooperative of around 700 smallholders that covers an area of 1300 hectares, roughly equating to 2 hectares per farmer. This coffee is processed at the Gutiti wet mill, although it undergoes the natural process here by laying the ripe cherries to dry on raised beds. After the fruit has dried it is de-hulled.
