Mother and son Maeggi Rodriguez and Jorge Gallardo manage Finca Muxbal, a farm that has been in the family since 1959. The meticulous care and attention they give to the coffee and processing carries onto social welfare and environmental responsibility - food, shelter and education are provided for all the workers and a section of the farm has been set aside as a nature reserve.
At Artisan Roast the word we think sums this coffee up best is ‘juicy’. Bold, luscious fruits including nectarine, guava and blackcurrant are complimented by a red grape like acidity. It’s very sweet too, and a syrupy honeyed mouth feel keeps the fruit driven mouth-watering nature of this coffee lingering on the finish.
