Heady perfumed aromas of jasmine are transformed into sweet apricot and peach in the cup followed by a refined, delicate, oolong tea mouthfeel.

The Adado mill sits just to the west of Yirga Chefe town and has become synonymous with quality over recent years. Six hundred families supply ripe red cherry from their smallholdings to the local washing station for pulping and processing. The mill produces both natural and washed coffees - for the washed coffee after pulping, fermenting, channelling and soaking over a period of three days the coffee is dried on raised beds as with almost all coffee in the region. This traditional processing serves the coffee very well and at Artisan Roast we feel this particular coffee represents the exceptional quality produced in this region.

This classic grade 1 Yirgacheffe from Adado is phenomenally clean in the cup allowing the intense perfumed jasmine aroma, along with stone fruit flavours of apricot and peach to shine. This particular coffee has a sweetness that balances the complex citrus and red grape like acids very well, and accentuates the apricot like flavour more than any Yirgacheffe we tested this season. Underlying these attributes is an oolong tea like mouthfeel brings all the taste and flavour components together with a final note of class.
