Kenya Kiri is a washing station (or factory) located near the town of Kiamutugu located on the south side of mount Kenya. This lot comes from coffee harvested by 500 small hold farmers who will then deliver their harvest to the washing station for processing.
Ripe cherries are fermented using fresh river water and once this process is complete the coffee is sun dried on raised drying tables.
Kenyan coffee is well know for bright acidity with super clean floral and fruit flavours. The best often have blackcurrant notes and this comes through in the Kiri AA. It’s a really sweet coffee and fantastic both as a slow brewed coffee and espresso.
